PM Announces Lawsuits Against Any Election Fraud Allegations

SIHANOUKVILLE: Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that he will sue anyone who accuses the national elections of being rigged.

This announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of Street 146B connecting to Street 148 in Sihanoukville on Thursday morning, 22 December 2022.

The Prime Minister stated that he will do this in order to end the culture of painting others as villains and making unreasonable accusations against the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) after the last commune elections.

He also gave mention to the lawsuit he placed against Sam Rainsy, for which he received US $700,000 in compensation, and the ongoing lawsuit against the Candlelight Party’s vice-president, Son Chhay.
